About the role: As part of the Group Reporting team of 24, the role reports to the Senior Group Reporting Manager and is based at our offices in London Bridge. The key responsibilities of the role will be to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the Group's month-end and year-end close processes, contribution to continuous improvement in financial controls, assisting with the annual audit process and collaboration with key internal stakeholders to support the Group's overall financial reporting and strategic goals. Leading a team of part qualified accountants, this is an important role in driving the continued development of a high-quality reporting function. Key Responsibilities: Monthly reporting Overall delivery of month-end close processes to ensure the integrity of the general ledger for a range of different entities, including property, operating and holding companies Working closely alongside the Business Partner team of five to ensure comprehensive and accurate reporting into the month end close Maintenance of balance sheet control and processes ensuring controls are followed on a consistent and timely basis Delivery of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and addressing timely resolution of reconciling items, including those for: working capital accounts such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and deferred income Inter and Intra company positions bank accounts Management of the monthly process required to ensure cash is in the correct parts of the group to service interest and operational payments Reviewing and challenging financial information to ensure accuracy and consistency Assisting the Projects and Transformation team during corporate structure activity such as; refinancing, acquisitions and restructuring to ensuring the smooth transition into month-end figures Controls and control environment Key role in driving a high-quality financial control environment, including: Leading the process of continual improvement for documentation and evidence of all key financial controls and related processes Working with the Risk, Compliance and Assurance team to support in the monitoring of financial controls Identify and implement process improvements with the aim of increasing efficiency and improvements in financial control Audit Working with the Group Reporting team, you will play a key role in the delivery of the annual audit at a Group and subsidiary level, including: Working with other teams within finance to manage delivery of required information Identify opportunities to drive improvements in audit process Input into Board reporting pack People Management and development of a team of three part-qualified accountants Act as a positive role model promoting and ‘living' iQ's values and behaviours External relationships Partner closely with the Finance Business Partners to ensure a seamless month-end process Build and maintain effective relationships across key stakeholders in Legal, Commercial Finance, Projects and Transformation, Treasury, Finance Business Partnering, IT and Group Financial Reporting. Assisting with the management of the day to day relationship with the external auditors for both subsidiary and Group statutory accounts Key contact with external service providers (in tandem with the Financial Reporting team) to ensure that local regulatory requirements in the UK, Luxembourg, Guernsey and Jersey are complied with With the outsourced shared service partner in India Skills and Experience: Qualified ACA, ACCA or similar (3-6 years PQE or equivalent experience) Sound technical competence with a good working knowledge of IFRS (experience of IAS 40, IFRS 9 and IFRS 2 preferable) Previous experience within a month-end/reporting role essential Previous management experience in industry preferable Strong knowledge of excel Commercial managerial experience Confident interacting with senior stakeholders Used to working in a team and interacting with other teams Ability to interpret and explain complex financial data Diligent and detail oriented coupled with an analytical mind Personable and comfortable work in a fast-paced and changing environment We operate a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home / site location.
