Mechanical Contracts Manager – Multiple Projects up to £3m in Value

HDS Consultancy is partnering with a prominent contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a range of mechanical projects, including HVAC systems, across East London. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to manage several exciting projects in the mechanical sector, ensuring their smooth delivery on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the management of multiple mechanical projects (up to £3m in value), ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of mechanical works, including HVAC installations, refurbishments, and other mechanical systems.

Take full responsibility for project budgets, timelines, and ensuring quality standards are met across all sites.

Lead and manage a team of supervisors, subcontractors, and engineers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality performance.
*
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on each site.
*
Act as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring excellent communication and project coordination.
*
Review project designs and plans, identifying any potential risks or challenges and addressing them proactively.
*
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, financials, and risk assessments.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, with a strong background in mechanical projects (preferably HVAC systems).
*
Experience managing projects up to £3m in value, with a solid understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods, specifically in HVAC systems and refurbishments.
*
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of supervisors and subcontractors.

Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mechanical construction industry.
*
Previous experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget.
*
Strong communication and client management skills.
