Child and Adolescent MentalHealth Service (CAMHS) within Livewell Southwest has the opportunity to really shape Children Young People and Family Services.
The Clinical PathwayManager role is an exciting role where you will lead on two areas ofdevelopment using the Anna Freud iThrive framework to inform the pathwaydevelopment. The two pathways are the Infant Mental Health Pathway 0- rising 5 yearsand the Early Help Pathway 5-18 years. The role really enables you to focus onprevention and early intervention promoting the best outcomes for infants,children, young people and families.
The Clinical Pathway Managerrole you will be responsible for oversight in relation to line management ofstaff, appraisals. You will need to passionate about developing accessible services andbe able to be flexible in your approach to support the pathways and servicedevelopment.

You will have anunderstanding of child and adolescent mental health. Be passionate about earlyintervention. They must experience of managing/developing a team. They musthave good communication skills and the ability to work to time restricteddeadlines. As an Operational Manager,the Post Holder will be required to participate in the Operational ManagersOn-Call Rota, if requested to do so by the Chief Operating Officer.
Main duties of the job
Infant Pathway focusis on parent- infant mental health, inclusive of early intervention priorto birth, directwork and groupintervention until the age of rising five years.
The Early HelpPathway focus is on school aged delivering, training, consultation, assessment, groupwork, direct intervention until the age of 18 years. In this part ofthe role, you will work closely with the other Early Help Pathway Manager,duties are divided equally.
Improve children and young peoples mental healththrough the effective delivery of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services(CAMHS) providing safe, effective, timely andaccessible services that are responsive to the needs of local children, young people and theirfamilies.
Case/Linemanagement, appraisalsof staffin line with policy
Chairing regular team meetings, attendance to the Senior CAMHs Business meeting on a regular basis.
Monitoring and developing work streams, RTT, Evaluation and monitoringrequirements.
Promote and embed national and local work to reduce thestigma associated to mental health.
Support the development ACCESS.
The Post holder will ensure professional engagement with partneragencies in the planning, delivery and evaluation of effective multi-agencyservices.
Role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.

As one of the Clinical Pathway Managers, you willprovide an element of specialist clinical practiceto be agreed with the Service Manager,taking into consideration thelevel of management responsibility within this post as the post holder willhave day to day management of one of the CAMHS Pathways. You will work as partof the senior management team within CAMHS in conjunction with the wider CAMHservice and tier take day to day management responsibility for theInfant and Early Help Pathway, using performance management systems to ensurethe effective delivery of contracted activity.
To work with Senior Managers to deliverintegrated governance requirements and be accountable for delivering governancewithin the team. This may include contributing to the writingof policy and proceduredocuments relating to clinical practice.
To ensure Team members comply with keymechanisms to support clinical delivery. This will include Care ProgrammeApproach, Clinical Records Management, Health Care Data Entry, Incidentreporting, serious untoward Incident Review and complaints.
To ensure completion of Risk Assessments, contributeand undertake risk management plans. Have responsibility for Health and safety;fire safety responsibilities required by statute, regulation, legal obligationsand LWSW policies.
To be accountable for implementing policy relating tohealth and safety and monitor compliance.
To assess and determine thedevelopment/training needs of team and contribute to the Continued ProfessionalDevelopment (CPD) training Programme.
To contribute to the development and deliveryof training for the wider stakeholders and partnership agencies. Including theoversight of STORM Training.
To ensure Professional registration requirements are continually met andclinical supervision is arranged and undertaken on a minimum monthly basis.
To advise onautonomous clinical practice to an agreed area of service delivery.

The post will be able to under limited clinicalwork which will be agreed by the Service responsibility for ensuring that multi-organisation governance isconsidered and managed appropriately.
Lead and operationally manage a team of staff ensuring that theyoperate within policies and procedures, and external regulations CQC, NHS, and SLA.

Ensure that allstaff are compliant with the Mental Health Capacity Act and other relevantlegislation.
Contribute to thedevelopment of the effective workforce planning and development for theirfunction within the network.
Ensure that activity data is collected and presented to the relevantmanagement forums in their agreed format.Promote and develop high standards of clinical care.

1. At least three years experience in line management responsibility for one or more multi disciplinary teams and where the team remit has included work with children, young people and their families experiencing mental health problems.
2. Post-qualifying experience of clinical assessment, evaluation, care planning and risk management in work with those experiencing mental health problems -

4. Experience of providing clinical supervision to professionals working with children and young people experiencing mental health problems.
5. Culturally competent practice with people from a range of diverse backgrounds.
