Trading since 2011, Hardman Office & Commercial Cleaning Ltd is an award-winning, family run company based in Widnes. We provide high-quality cleaning services to businesses and organisations throughout Halton.

From April 2025 we are pledging to pay the Real Living Wage of £12.60 per hour to our employees. Higher rates will be paid for weekends and Bank Holidays.
As a new employee you would receive comprehensive job training to give you the skills and knowledge to meet out standards via our Safe & Effective Cleaning training programme consisting of our training video and a fully paid training and induction session in our Widnes head office.
All new employees are also provided with free uniform (tabards or t-t-shirts). Additional uniform items can be purchased at subsidised rates. We also provide any necessary PPE.
Job vacancy details
We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to help provide a clean & hygienic workplace at our customer’s office in West Bank, Widnes.
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 4 pm until 6 pm
Hourly Pay rates: £11.65 Monday to Friday, £12.15 Weekends and £17.50 Bank Holidays (Rising to £12.60 Monday to Friday, £13.10 weekends, £18.90 weekends from 1st April 2025)
Duties: Working as part of a 2 person team, the duties will involve cleaning the reception area, staff canteen, shop floor area, stairways & some offices. Duties include emptying bins, mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitising surfaces and touch points and any other associated tasks.
Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks paid annual leave per year

What we ask from you
-Must be able to get to place of work for the required times (essential)
-Previous cleaning experience would be a welcome advantage but not essential as we provide full training
-Ability to provide references is Essential. Employment references are preferred but we will also accept education references or personal character references if employment references are not possible
-Good standard of attendance, punctuality
- Attention to detail, a conscientious attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to provide an excellent level of service
