Ventec 100 Ltd t/as Vent Engineering was founded in 1988. We are specialists in natural and smoke ventilation systems and have been importing, manufacturing, supplying, installing, and commissioning smoke ventilation systems for over 36 years for a variety of projects of all shapes and sizes.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced electronic engineer to work in our head office based in Poole, Dorset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings. The primary responsibilities include designing electronic schematics and PCB layouts for electronic products, producing safe embedded software, and testing your designs and software to the relevant standards.
You will be working as part of a small team designing our next generation of products. The role may involve occasional on-site visits across the country for system support to project managers, installers, and commissioners.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, prototype and test electronic product designs to the specifications provided
* Design and develop software for our range of products
* Proactively stay ahead of the latest trends to drive product development initiatives
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers on new and existing products
* Compile technical information for technical updates, product installation, and operating manuals
About You
You will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role and a Level 5 and above qualification in Electronics or equivalent experience. You will also have experience designing products including microcontrollers (STM32, PIC) and peripheral components.
Electronics schematic and PCB design is a must, along with a strong understanding of Git version control and strong C and/or C++ skills. Experience with Easy-PC is desired but not essential.
Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of Automation Engineer, Systems Control Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Control Systems Specialist, and Industrial Control Engineer may also be considered.
