We are looking for a Quality Technologist to complete, coordinate and drive activities to ensure that technical and site improvement plans linked to product quality and food safety progress smoothly. To support Technical and other site teams on delivering Quarry Kitchen development strategy as well as day-to-day running plans. Main Responsibilities Key accountabilities: • Working cross functionally, review consumer feedback and drive continuous improvement plans. • React to consumer feedback in a timely manner (red flag system). • Create action plans as a result of consumer feedback to continually drive improvement. • Assist near miss investigations and associated improvement plans (incl. root cause analysis and corrective actions) • Lead consistency panels – including the planning, management, and reporting of results. • Create improvement plans from the results of consistency panels. • Support Technical Management (TM & QAM) with the New Machinery release process. • Follow up on technical actions including equipment set up and commission when required. • Support site cross-functional project work from technical perspective (i.e. implementation, test and trial, validation, review and follow up, actions closure). • Ensure technical project work you are leading is managed and communicated during all steps of the project – ensuring time effective management of actions, follow-ups and documentation completed. • Lead/support quality and food safety projects as required including project planning, implementation, and review. • Complete process audits and follow up with agreed corrective action plan. • Perform trials when necessary and follow up on the trial’s outcome with next steps recommendations and work direction. • Liaise with external organisations when required (i.e. equipment suppliers, EHO, TSO) • Support/lead investigations on internal rejections and food safety/quality incidents complaints (incl. root cause analysis and follow up) • Support the implementation, embedding and maintenance of a QA approach within operations teams. • Be part of the Internal audit team, including standards audits to the agreed schedules. • Provide coaching and training to staff to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards. • Support validation work as required. • Support development of documentation in line with QMS standards • Support Technical Team with workload when required General: • Facilitate/support BRC audit and other 3rd party audits/visits with aim to achieve successful BRCGS AA grade audit. Support with closing out any non-conformances. • Coordinate, generate and deliver (if required) technical specific training across the business to embed any new ways of working. • Absence cover for other technical team members as required • Deputise for TM or QAM as and when required • Document control - document control of any documents relating to job role. Provide cover for other document control as required Key Aspects of Job: Other duties 1. Be involved in company cross functional projects The Ideal Candidate Experience Experience of a quality role within a BRC A grade accredited chilled food organisation. Experience of writing and implementing existing and new quality management procedures, completing risk assessments. Experience of training and embedding new ways of working.
