The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and market penetration in international markets. They will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, managing key account relationships, and leading a high-performing global sales and marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and Implement Global Sales Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting supermarkets, distributors, and other key channels globally, with a primary focus on expanding market share in the UK, Europe, China, USA, and the Middle East.
* Market Expansion and Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive market penetration in key regions to increase the company's footprint in the global dates industry.
* Manage Key Account Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with major supermarket chains, wholesalers, and distributors, negotiating terms and contracts to secure profitable deals and long-term partnerships.
* Sales Performance Management: Set ambitious sales targets and KPIs, monitor team performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure objectives are met or exceeded across different markets.
* Develop Marketing Strategies: Oversee the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities, ensuring they align with the sales strategy and resonate with target audiences in various regions.
* Product Positioning and Branding: Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to ensure optimal product positioning, packaging, and branding that appeal to different cultural and market needs.
* Team Leadership and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global sales and marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
* Market Analysis and Consumer Insights: Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor activity, using data to inform sales tactics and marketing strategies.
* Budget Management: Oversee sales and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maximizing ROI from promotional activities and sales efforts.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth operations, efficient product distribution, and alignment on business goals.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the FMCG, food, or agribusiness sector.
* Deep understanding of the global dates market or a similar industry, with proven experience in successfully launching and growing products in international markets.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market penetration, and brand awareness on a global scale.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build, inspire, and develop a high-performing, culturally diverse sales and marketing team.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt strategies based on market conditions and consumer insights.
* Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to close high-value deals and establish long-term partnerships with key accounts.
* Ability to think strategically and translate market opportunities into actionable plans that align with the company's growth objectives.
* Willingness to relocate to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and adapt to different cultural and business environments, with experience working across diverse markets.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
* Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageous and preferred.
* Proficient in using CRM systems, data analytics tools, and other sales and marketing software to manage accounts and track performance.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and ambitious sales targets.
