With an exciting programme of festive performances coming up, we are looking to add to our team of Hospitality Assistants to join the Front of House (FOH) team to help support the theatre during this busy period. Hospitality Assistants will work across any of TRP's retail outlets including our bars and café, delivering excellent customer service, serving refreshments, barista style drinks, merchandise and food.
We are offering fixed term seasonal positions with start dates from week commencing 10/12/2024. Each shift will range from 3½ to 5 hours and will include afternoons and/or evenings. Successful applicants for this position will need to be flexible and able to work a minimum of three shifts per week including at least 1 weekend day.
The Role
We have highlighted below the key customer service responsibilities for the role:
Welcome, engage and interact with patrons as they arrive at any of our retail outlets
Preparing sales points for ice cream, confectionery, programmes, merchandise,
food and drink and deliver an exceptional, positive and warm standard of service
Pass on easy-to-follow information to our ticket holders to help guide them to their seating areas and have confidence to assist guests who request access support
Respond proactively and positively to customer enquiries
Look after the audience during the show, identify and help resolve any issues relating to patron behaviour, comfort and safety
Understand our emergency evacuation procedures and implement when required
To help you deliver fantastic customer service, you will:
Attend pre-performance briefings prior to show which will advise on show details and helpful information
Adopt a proactive approach to the punctual opening and closing of all retail outlets
Keep the retail outlets clean, tidy and presentable at all times adhering to our covid and hygiene procedures
Report any issues relating to safety, security and maintenance to the House Management team
Develop a good working knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, safeguarding, security and licencing regulations
