The role We are seeking an experienced Compliance officer to join our Asset compliance team. This role is an FTC maternity cover position until April 2026 You will be providing a full range of administrative and support services to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the team and department. Completing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure Southern Housing meets its legal and regulatory compliance requirements. The role will involve providing support to the Compliance Managers. To work as a team to provide support activity that will include administrative tasks, arranging access, resident queries, data entry and ensuring accurate data is held within Apex and other systems. What you'll be doing Book appointments, update calendars, arrange travel and accommodation as required. Provide administrative support to the Compliance Managers. • Provide project support to the team and lead on key administrative projects as required. Support the management and monitoring of relevant compliance contracts. Assist others in the department to ensure efficient and effective administrative practices. Deal with telephone calls, emails, CRM's and written correspondence as necessary. Liaison with members of staff in other departments and external contacts. Monitor group e-mail inboxes What you'll need Experience of working within Asset Management or Compliance service, especially within a social housing environment. Understanding of Compliance areas and requirements on housing organisations. Experience of performance-based management through KPI's in a customer focused environment. Experience of managing and analysing large data sets and ensuring taking responsibility for quality compliance data. Understanding of good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with tenants, external agencies, and tenants' associations, both verbally and in writing. Numerate, with good analytical skills. Knowledge of statistical analysis and other information, and to produce management reports.
