The post holder will be responsible for Buffing finished parts to a high cosmetic standard using handheld power tools. They are also responsible for providing specific tools to the required machines on the manufacturing lines to ensure production deadlines are met. Role based in Machine Shop Permanent night shift role Working hours: 19:30 - 07:30 12-hour shifts Shift pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off Shift Premiums and Holidays discussed at interview Responsibilities Building up tool assemblies for both 3 and 5 Axis CNC machines Loading tools into trolleys/cradles for dispatch to machines Responsible for buffing finished parts to a high cosmetic standard using handheld power tools. Responsible for returning tools to the appropriate location. Cleaning and inspecting tools. Responsible for all quality control on all outgoing tooling and parts Responds to quality alerts instantly. Stocking up standardised tooling cabinets for both roles when required Reporting and managing damaged tooling and holders To follow all Health and Safety guideline including the use of full PPE at all times Continuous improvement of work area and outputs Communicates well between machine operators and supervisors.
