The Role:
* Progressing generator manufacture according to production schedules.
* Assembling and testing generator control panels according to supplied drawings and mounting them within enclosures.
* Efficiently prioritising and managing assigned workloads.
* Assembling and testing wiring looms to supplied drawings and fitting them to engine/alternator.
* Upholding high standards of workmanship on all projects.
* Conducting test inspection processes on pre-wiring cabling.
* Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with health and safety standards.
* Implementing quality and environmental standards in line with ISO requirements and company standards.
* Supporting site installation teams and occasionally carrying out site commissioning.
* Troubleshooting and fault finding.
* Testing completed generators with load banks in line with approved processes.
The Person:
* Qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC ONC/HNC, JIB Approved Electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
* Generator experience (highly desirable).
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in industrial environments.
* A good knowledge of Electrical Installation Regulations and associated legislative standards.
* The ability to read electrical drawings and fault-find to component level.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* The ability to work to deadlines and targets.
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* The ability to work effectively on your own initiative in a single-person scenario or as part of a team.
* Strong written and oral communication skills for effective interaction with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across different departments.
