We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to work with various material handling systems, ensuring reliability through planned and preventative maintenance. You’ll handle fault finding, repairs, and keep everything running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a wide range of cargo-handling equipment, including conveyors, motors, and sensors, to ensure smooth operations at the cargo hub. Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to set schedules, ensuring the equipment remains in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve faults on mechanical and electrical systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety and efficiency. Work on repairs and replacements of worn-out components, maintaining the integrity of the systems. Collaborate closely with the UK Engineering Manager and the maintenance team to provide a reliable and efficient service, contributing to the overall success of the cargo operations. Provide reports and documentation as required by the Engineering Manager to keep track of maintenance activities and equipment status. Detailed Requirements: Background in industrial or manufacturing environments: Ideally, experience in working with large-scale material-handling systems or similar industrial setups. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills: Ability to quickly diagnose and fix mechanical or electrical issues, minimizing disruptions. Experience with conveyors, motors, and sensors: Familiarity with cargo or material-handling equipment is preferred, but training is provided. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics: Proficiency in using technical documentation to guide maintenance and repairs. Hands-on, proactive approach to solving day-to-day maintenance issues effectively and efficiently. Team player: Must be able to work well within a team and communicate clearly with other engineers and management. Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, ensuring support during critical times
