Our client is a manufacturer of Timber Packaging Solutions, currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their sales team due to significant business growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and products or services.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at a key stage, with future progression opportunities as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients
* Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
* Creation of tenders and quotations for new business
* Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them while maintaining weekly and monthly sales KPIs
* Attending networking events, conferences, and exhibitions to build relationships within the industry and stay up to date with new trends
* Creating a marketing plan to help develop the business in line with the company strategy
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the sales strategy linked to the overall business strategy
* Building internal relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer service and quality
Requirements:
* Previous experience in transformational growth, helping the business evolve with a clear path to the future
* Ability to identify new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, partnerships, or products and services
* Building relationships with new and existing clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals
* A curious nature, excited to find new and creative ways to develop the business
* A real passion for growing a business and working well within a high-performing team
* A proven sales record in targeting and winning new business, ideally within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or logistical operations
* Good understanding of selling a concept solution rather than a product sell
* An excellent communicator, strong in building credibility and trust
