As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Manager to join our dynamic team.
The Role
As an Audit Manager at Brindleys, you'll take a lead role in planning and delivering audit assignments, ensuring full compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102 & FRS 102 1A, as well as other applicable regulatory frameworks. You'll work closely with both clients and colleagues, delivering high-quality services while supporting the development of junior staff and contributing to the firm's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, lead, and complete audit assignments across a wide range of industries
* Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit team members
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 & FRS 102 1A
* Identify audit risks and deliver practical recommendations to clients
* Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high standards of client service
* Assist with ad-hoc accounting and advisory projects as required
* Keep up to date with changes in audit regulations & best practices
About You
* 3–5 years of audit experience, ideally within a medium-sized practice
* Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Demonstrated experience in leading audits and managing junior team members
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Iris, Sage 50) and Microsoft Office
* Highly organised, proactive, and deadline-focused
* Experience or exposure to audits involving:
* Property development and construction
* Hotel and hospitality businesses
* Bridging finance and lending institutions
* FCA-regulated entities (CASS 5 knowledge preferred)
