Room Leader - Preschool Room Witham, Essex £23,712 - £25,688pa Job Summary We are currently working with a nursery who are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead their over 3's room at their nursery in Witham, Essex. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with a four-day workweek totaling 38 hours, and a consistent day off each week. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality education, care, and assessment for children while ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the over 3's room, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and care for all children. Maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors, in line with Ofsted requirements. Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers to foster involvement in their child's development. Support and manage nursery practitioners within your room, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Collaborate with other professionals in the local area to benefit children and families. Ensure the nursery meets all regulatory requirements, including child protection, safety protocols, and emergency response. Support the planning and implementation of activities that help children achieve early learning goals. Participate in the key person system, exchanging information about children's progress with parents. Undertake additional duties as required to support the nursery's aims and objectives. Requirements Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education. At least 3 years of recent experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a senior position. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and current Ofsted statutory guidance. Proven experience in implementing high-quality learning opportunities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Paediatric First Aid certification.
