Applications are invited for a keen and ambitious Apprentice to join our Accounts team as a junior member. Training and qualifications will be funded by the company and a full mentoring program implemented. Working in a team environment, you will be involved in a varied accounting role, where you will get exposure to all aspects of accounts working at our Headoffice based in Strood, Rochester, Kent. The ideal applicants with have A or A - GCSE (or equivalent) grades in Maths and English On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the AAT qualification with regular work based assessments/observationscarried out by the Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards. 40 hours per week 8.30am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday Tasks & Responsibilities Set up electronic payments for approval ensuring complete and accurate records of all transactions are maintained. Under supervision, maintain Accounts payable ledgers. Ensure purchases/returns are submitted and credited are in line with policy. Process purchase invoices, ensuring costs are allocated correctly and monitored. Proactively track cost increases, and flag up areas of concernto Head of Finance. Generate invoices as required. Maintain up-to-date management reports and Key Performance Indicators as maintained. Under supervision, Ad-hoc project work as and when required.
