Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 8:30 – 16:00 who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday Your Duties Will Include: To lead by example by having an impeccable and positive approach to working safely and enforcing this across all teams regardless of department or reporting lines Proactively taking ownership of own training compliance and development To ensure sufficient trained, skilled colleagues are available week to week to deliver the hygiene plan, working within the agreed set labour budget using the Labour Planner as a guide Managing the approval of holidays on the team to ensure they are spread across the year and do not impact on labour availability Actively identifying and escalate any safety or efficiency improvements to procedures or ways of working to Hygiene Management and actively look for, and engage in, business improvement activities inside and outside of the hygiene function To ensure that all chemicals are controlled appropriately (locked away, labelled when in use, dosed correctly, correct PPE worn etc.) conducting routine checks to enforce this requirement with the team and that all chemicals are used effectively and efficiently with minimal waste To check that all cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately at the end of each shift Conducting routine checks of all areas once all cleaning has been completed to ensure that the areas are left clean, tidy, and as dry as possible To communicate effectively with the teams, your line manager and other key functions on site, for example planning, engineering, operations and technical helping create safe, efficient, and deliverable schedules to maximise hygiene standards whilst minimising the impact on equipment availability Ensure regular safety inspections and audits are undertaken to check that the Health & Safety rules and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to at all levels across the site Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role Fair working knowledge of Microsoft applications or willingness to learn Experienced in leading hygiene teams within a food manufacturing environment COSHH Training Level 3 Food Safety - Desirable IOSH Managing Safely – Desirable Benefits: 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) Free parking 2 Employee Volunteering Days per year Online and High-street retailer discount scheme Employee well-being and community support groups Informal and Formal training opportunities with personalised online LMS platform Charity Initiatives and Team events 24/7 Access to Grocery Aid (Free Financial, Emotional and Practical Support) Physical Wellbeing Benefits – Free on demand exercise hub and various gym discounts.
