Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for a senior clinical fellow ST3+ trust appointed post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months with potential for extension as either a Portfolio pathway candidate or Specialty Doctor.
This post provides opportunities to experience a diverse range of obstetric and gynaecological services in our busy tertiary unit. There is a three-tier rota, with a Senior House Officer (F2, GPST1/2, ST1/2) first on-call and two resident registrars, at least one of whom will always be a senior (ST6/7 or post-CCT Fellow) or Consultant present at all times.
What you’ll do
Weekly timetabled activities include outpatient clinics and theatres in addition to on-call sessions and facilitate progression as per the RCOG specialty training curriculum. Supporting the education of junior trainees would be a key element of this role.
What we’re looking for
* The ideal candidate will have completed their MRCOG qualification (or be in the process of achieving this) and have experience working as an ST3+ level O&G clinician in the UK.
* Ability to transport independently between sites would be beneficial.
* This post is for a full-time position although applications for less than full-time positions are welcome.

* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* GMC registration with a licence to practise
* MRCOG part 1
* MRCOG part 2&3
