Parkwood Hall is a residential and day school for pupils aged 8-19 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties and other complex needs, including autism and language difficulties. We are passionate about our Co-operative values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity.
Our aim is to provide an outstanding and supportive learning environment that challenges students to achieve success. The core learning values focus on developing resilience and the ability to make informed life choices.
The successful candidate will join a supportive school where we invest in staff and create skilled class teams. This role could lead to further professional development opportunities, such as training as a Senior TA or HLTA. Key responsibilities include supporting and developing the educational environment, extending curriculum skills, social skills, and personal development, and ensuring a safe environment both emotionally and physically, within school guidelines and procedures. Experience working with children and Level 2 qualifications (GCSE or equivalent) in English and Mathematics are essential.
In return, we offer a supportive team, investment in training and development, free hot drinks and snacks in a recently refurbished staff room, the LGPS pension scheme, free parking, and a beautiful Victorian building setting.
