What's the role? We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Field Services Scheduler to coordinate and manage the work schedules of SMS field staff and subcontractors. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of services in line with contractual agreements and client priorities. The ideal candidate will excel in resource planning, issue resolution, and maintaining operational profitability while meeting customer expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, 2 days in the office 3 days at home typically. It is contracted at 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage efficient schedules for SMS field staff and subcontractors. Utilise internal systems to allocate resources effectively, ensuring alignment with customer KPIs and contractual obligations. Assign sufficient chargeable work to engineers to meet departmental revenue and productivity targets. Respond to specific booking requests from clients, ensuring prompt and accurate scheduling. Oversee and coordinate various projects to ensure timely and satisfactory completion. Act as the primary contact for inquiries from internal and external customers. Resolve scheduling conflicts and service-related issues efficiently and professionally. Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to track scheduling efficiency and KPI achievement. Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational performance. Maintain accurate records and update databases with job statuses, resource allocations, and financial details. Monitor and ensure the profitability of scheduled work, ensuring all jobs meet departmental financial objectives. Any other duties as required. To be considered for this role, we would love you to have/be: A relevant academic qualification in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential). A membership in professional organisations such as the Institute of Customer Service or equivalent (desirable). Proven experience in scheduling, resource planning, or a similar operational role. A strong understanding of scheduling systems and database management tools. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage priorities effectively. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Knowledge of KPIs and financial principles related to profitability and operational efficiency. LI-Hybrid
