Maintenance Engineer, Stevenage, Shifts: Continental Days & Nights, Salary GBP50,400
An Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer is required to carry out maintenance within a team of Maintenance Engineers who are responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance within a food manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure all plant and equipment are maintained and repaired in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner while ensuring all plants are run to their maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring that the equipment and plant are maintained.
2. Diagnose and correct automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations.
3. Reacting to breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
4. PLC fault finding to input and output level.
5. Enhance the machine's reliability through regular planned preventative maintenance.
6. Deliver turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
7. Focus on safe working practices and site performance KPI's including OEE and CCOs.
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives alongside proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site service. Ideally, you will have experience with food process machinery and possess some of the following qualifications:
1. BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in an Electrical discipline or Multi-skilled Engineering qualification.
2. C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro-technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance.
3. Time served apprentice.
4. HNC level in electrical or production maintenance engineering.
