Tewkesbury Academy is looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Teacher of Religious Education to join our supportive and talented team, covering a period of maternity leave. Tewkesbury Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation, a well-established school at the heart of Tewkesbury, providing education to over 1200 students aged 11-18. We are conveniently located at Junction 9 of the M5, close to the Cotswolds and historic towns.

What we are looking for:
We seek passionate individuals who want to transform education and contribute to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation. You should be experienced in planning and delivering high-quality lessons, possess strong communication skills, and hold QTS (or equivalent) with a relevant undergraduate degree. You should have excellent class management skills and high expectations for work and behaviour.
Your duties will include:
1. Planning outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all students while developing a high-quality programme of study with accurate target setting.
2. Monitoring and reporting on student progress, taking appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their potential through exceptional feedback methods.
3. Meeting the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND, and high attaining students.
4. Recognising, valuing, and supporting opportunities that extend beyond classroom delivery to enrich the student experience and learning.
5. Developing your own expert practice and supporting the development of others.
