Who Cares? We do.
NIPE is a multi-disciplinary team that offers a range of support to practitioners who are new to their role.
The NIPE Team Manager role is varied, but some of the key elements of the role are:
1. Line management of qualified workers in the NIPE team who are supporting the development of social care practitioners across the county.
2. Overseeing the Assistant Practitioner Development Programme and the Occupational Therapy Preceptorship.
3. Assessor role for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment for newly qualified social workers.
4. Involvement in the induction of new staff including facilitating regular workshops and delivering a range of training programs.

The role will involve working across the County with a range of client groups and different teams, which includes Mental Health, Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Older People, and Carers. At this time the base for NIPE is County Hall, but due to the nature of the work, your time may be spent working from home or completing observational visits across the County and hot desking in other NCC offices where appropriate.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive registered Social Worker who has a passion for supporting the development of colleagues as well as looking at how to improve our current offer to new and existing employees. Due to the nature of the work, you will need to be a good communicator as you will be expected to host training events and deliver presentations.
