We are looking for Nurse/Allied Health Practitioners to complement our established team in the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The Urgent Treatment Centre provides urgent medical treatment of undifferentiated and un-diagnosed illness or injury that is not life threatening. The ACP role will be at the forefront of service provision and integral in supporting the Multidisciplinary Team in the provision and delivery of prompt, safe and timely intervention.
Applications would be considered for a Band 6-7 Development Role.
The Centre is open 0800-0000, 7 days a week, including weekends and Bank Holidays with a variety of shifts available.
Main duties of the job
As a UTC Nurse/Allied Health Practitioner you will be expected to work autonomously and use existing Adult and Paediatric nursing skills to see, treat and discharge both Adults and Children.
You will be part of the UTC clinical team and assist with the team with the Front door process, Care at the Door, and Co-ordination. Flexibility with working hours will be required.
You will be able to treat all patients presenting with minor illness and minor injury presentations as per the UTC National Standards and Principles. Ideally, you will have undertaken your Assessment and Consultation, Minor Injury and Illness modules and also be a Non-Medical prescriber.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with relevant PIN/registration
* Proven experience post-registration qualification in the specific area
* Plastering
* Manchester Triage
Knowledge
* Understanding of the National UTC Principles and Standards published by NHS England
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages
* Knowledge of Primary and Secondary care functions and practices
* Knowledge of current Trust Initiatives
* Working Knowledge of SystmOne
* Understanding of the roles of other professionals and specialities and how they work within the UTC.
* Understanding of Community Service and how to refer into it.
Experience
* Undertaken any of the following CPD Modules: Consultation and Assessment, Injury, illness and non-medical prescribing
* Experience in ED/Urgent and/or Primary Care
* Able to manage care in an autonomous manner
* Evidence of Ongoing CPD
