It's also got a great veterinary surgery and due to upcoming maternity leave and practice growth, we're looking for a new experienced vet!
At our clinic, we maintain high standards of care and regularly invest in new equipment to make your job easier. Our team is made up of 10 vets with a diverse range of interests and qualifications, from ultrasonography to emergency medicine. We also have 10 RVN's, 3 Student Nurses, 4 Veterinary Care Assistants and 9 Client Care Advisors! As a team, we regularly get excellent feedback that we're easy-going and a nice bunch to work with. Don't be fooled though, we're not laid back either, the clinical team are also passionate about delivering really great patient care and we love collaborating on an interesting or exciting case!
Our excellent nursing team are encouraged to help as much as possible, for example with x-rays, lab and dental work to make your life easier.
We have a comfortable environment to work in with the practice situated on 2 floors. There are 6 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, and 2 prep rooms, separate dog and cat wards, a colleague room and office.
2025 is set to be an exciting year for our practice as we embark on a major expansion! The new space will include larger, dedicated dog and cat wards, a state-of-the-art dentistry suite, a specialized diagnostic imaging room, and additional office space to support our growing team. Most excitingly, we're introducing a cutting-edge CT and control room featuring the brand-new IMVi GE Revolution ACT system. This expansion marks a significant step forward, and we're thrilled to share this journey with our team and clients. It's truly a fantastic time to join us!
We're looking for someone who is always eager to learn and passionate about providing exceptional care to our clients. You might be doing a certificate, already have gained one or just be a vet with plenty of real-world experience.
Having regular clinical meetings is important to us, so we can audit our work but also discuss our tricky cases and share knowledge.
Learning and developing are a priority too. We make sure we check in with you regularly and will always aim to support you with new or ongoing clinical interests or even to do research in practice. That way you know you can keep developing clinically and continue to get job satisfaction.

* Syringe drivers & plenty of infusion pumps
* 2 Multiparameter monitors plus portable capnography
* Orthopaedic equipment - TPLO, ESF, locking systems, Hall autoclaveable drill
* Flexible (gastroscope, bronchoscope), Stortz image capture
* Rigid endoscopy (x 4) - rhinoscope/laparoscope/arthroscopes.
* Nerve stimulator
* Laparoscopy
* Logic R8 ultrasound (Doppler)
* EPOC - Point of Care blood gases
We are very involved in ensuring veterinary work is as sustainable as it can possibly be. We have recently been awarded Green Status from the Investors in the Environment - we were the first general practice in the UK to be given this! You'd be very welcome to get involved with our environmental work too.

* Contract offered on either a fixed-term or permanent basis - depending on your preference!
* Ideal start date in May 2025
* A competitive salary of £50-£75,000 per annum plus quarterly bonus (team and individual)
* £2.5k CPD allowance with 5 days of CPD per annum
* 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays) which increases with length of service.
* This is a full time (40 hours) role and rota is 4 days a week with 1:4 weekends, no out of hours.
