Location: Bridgend or Blackburn with travel across each site
This is an exciting new role within the business, created to enhance and support the People Development at WEPA. As we continue to invest in our workforce, this position will play a vital role in driving a culture of continuous learning and development. You will work alongside the team to maximise the impact of the WEPA Academy, our internal learning academy designed to support people development by providing high quality training, upskilling opportunities, and career growth pathways for employees across all areas of the business. The Academy serves as a central hub for learning, enabling colleagues to expand their knowledge, enhance their skills, and progress in their careers.
Responsibilities Include:
Organisation of Training Courses:
* Planning, coordination and implementation of internal and external training courses (WEPA Academy & external providers).
* Ensuring the smooth running of training activities, including venue planning, provision of materials and technical support.
Evaluation of Training:
* Implementation and analysis of feedback and evaluation measures to continuously improve training offerings.
* Preparation of reports and recommendations based on the evaluation results.
Supporting Employees:
* Support and advice for employees in selecting suitable training courses from the WEPA Academy.
* Identifying individual and team-related training needs in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Further Development of the WEPA Academy:
* Supporting the design, development and implementation of new learning opportunities and programmes.
* Assisting with the rollout of new training measures and learning strategies
Support in Engagement Management:
* Contributing to employee retention and satisfaction initiatives, particularly the Better Together Survey.
* Analysing feedback and developing measures to improve learning and the corporate culture.
Your Profile:
* Qualification: A degree or equivalent in a related field.
* Experience and Know-How: Proven experience in the organisation, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programmes, ideally within the manufacturing industry. Strong experience in working with external training providers and internal stakeholders is essential.
* Personality: Excellent communication and consulting skills, enthusiasm for learning and personal development, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
* Working Method: Structured and independent working style, strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
