Senior Technician – Catering and Hospitality - INTERNAL ONLY Ref: 86559 Location: Group role based at Wakefield, with the expectation to attend Castleford & Selby on a regular basis Salary: £28,503 - £30,239 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week We will consider both full time and term time only applications. The above salary is based on a full time position and will be pro rata'd for term time only. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician to join a friendly, supportive, and positive Catering and Hospitality team. The role is varied with lots of opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge. You will be required to: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality, cost-effective resources Ensure compliance with HACCP, EHO regulations, and allergen labelling requirements. Coordinate and maintain COSHH assessments and oversee risk assessments for technical activities Conduct regular stocktakes, ensuring accurate records of all commodities and supplies As a Senior Technician you should be confident, well organised, and proactive with good IT skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will have: GCSEs in English and Maths A-C/9-4 or equivalent Relevant Level 3 qualification in Catering, Hospitality or a related field (e.g. NVQ or Diploma) or working towards Level 2 or equivalent Food Hygiene and Safety certification Advanced Food Safety or HACCP Level 3 certification and Health and Safety training/certification (e.g. IOSH or COSHH awareness) would be desirable This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
