Inspection Team Leader
Location: Stroud
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am–3:45 pm; Friday, 7:00 am–12:45 pm

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inspection Team Leader to oversee our Inspection Department. This critical role involves managing Goods-In Inspection, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operations, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) with a focus on Dye Penetrant Inspection, and Final Inspection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the inspection team, ensuring resources are effectively allocated, work is scheduled, and departmental priorities are met.
2. Oversee the initial inspection of incoming materials and components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
3. Manage the operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines, ensuring accurate and timely measurement and analysis of components.
4. Supervise Non-Destructive Testing processes, with a primary focus on Dye Penetrant Inspection, ensuring adherence to industry standards and quality assurance protocols.
5. Oversee the final inspection of products, ensuring they meet all required specifications before dispatch.
6. Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to align with established standards.
7. Train, mentor, and support team members, ensuring they are proficient in the latest inspection techniques and industry best practices.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the department and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
9. Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection activities and results. Regularly report on department performance to senior management.
10. Ensure all inspection activities meet regulatory requirements and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety across the team.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven experience in a leadership role within an inspection or quality assurance environment.
2. Strong knowledge of Goods-In Inspection, CMM operations, NDT (specifically Dye Penetrant Inspection), and Final Inspection processes.
3. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
4. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
5. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and producing performance reports.
6. A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
