Your new company
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of the section 106 improvement programme within a public sector organisation. As a crucial part of the project, you will be expected to look at different systems such as MasterGov and PPM, and map the current S106 process and the To Be process. This project will initially cover the first quarter of 2025 with the potential to be extended depending on performance.
Your new role
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with business users, project managers, and IT teams to gather, document, and analyse business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
2. Evaluate business processes: Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and automation. Recommend solutions based on data-driven insights.
3. Analyse business data: Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Prepare and present reports to stakeholders with actionable insights and recommendations.
4. Design and implement technology solutions: Work with development teams to ensure solutions align with business goals, are scalable, cost-effective, and deliverable within specified timeframes.
5. Assist in project management: Define scope, timelines, and resources for business initiatives. Track project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
6. Liaison between business and technical teams: Ensure clear communication and alignment of goals, priorities, and expectations.
7. Testing & Validation: Support the testing phase of projects to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are defect-free. Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure proper documentation is in place.
8. Prepare detailed documentation: Create business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and user manuals.
9. Provide training and support: Train end-users on new systems, processes, or tools. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure smooth system adoption.
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:
1. Knowledge and experience with S106 agreements is essential.
2. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a business environment, including business process modelling, data analysis, and project management.
3. Ability to analyse and interpret complex information to produce solutions and strategies for senior-level decision-making.
4. Working knowledge of financial and budgetary management.
5. Broad understanding of the latest legislative requirements related to the specialist field.
6. Knowledge of commissioning and procurement arrangements for project management of service-led procurements and new service implementation.
7. Proven track record of successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Ability to work well under pressure, setbacks, or challenging situations.
9. Excellent ability to plan workload with limited supervision and manage competing demands and priorities.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work at all levels of the organisation, including Executive and Cabinet.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Teams) and confident in data analysis to inform strategy and monitor performance.
12. Current driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use or willingness to use company vehicles, or an effective alternative means of frequent travel.
