Job summary This role will be required to undertake the installation, commission, maintenance, service and repair of a full range of mechanical engineering related such as LTHW installations, ventilation plant, domestic hot water systems, drainage and general mechanical machinery. The works will be carried out within properties maintained by CHoICE Facilities Services (CFS) across the Sunderland and South Tyneside region. The role will witness a primary focus predominantly on mechanical works, however the post holder may be required to diversify into other engineering and building trades. The post holder will be predominantly based at South Tyneside Hospital, NE34 0PL. Furthermore, the post holder will provide a Competent Person lead technical role within the Department to undertake supervisory/guidance duties of other direct employed labour force and at times this may include contractors. The post holder will also be required to participate in the current shift pattern/system, current on-call rota and undertake overtime when the service needs dictate for which appropriate payments will be made. Experience dependent, the expected range of earnings for this role is between £31,976 - £38,926 however recent employees within this role have earned around £42k due to overtime and on-call payments.
