Quantity Surveyor
Fawkes & Reece are currently working with a main contractor that works with local authorities and private clients, currently turning over £42 million a year. They are looking to expand their team to keep up with incoming projects and works.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
This role is based out of Hythe working as part of the Southern commercial team on a scale of highway and groundworks projects.
This is an exceptional opportunity for any candidate who is striving for development opportunities and looking for a strong stable contractor role.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
Accurate monthly forecasting
Producing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliations
Managing any change and producing compensation events
Produce, submit, and agree monthly application with the client
Liaise with operational and engineering staff
Attending weekly progress meetings
Working collaboratively with the bid and estimating team
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
2+ years industry experience
Degree qualified (not essential)
Civil engineering and highway experience (there will also likely be the opportunity in the future, to undertake building projects if desired)
NEC and JCT experience
Experience in a main contracting environment (desired)
