We are seeking a motivated and proactive Internal Sales Executive to manage and grow smaller accounts within Zeus UK. This role focuses on nurturing existing and lapsed accounts with an annual spend of £0–£50k, driving sales through upselling and cross-selling, and fostering strong client relationships. The successful candidate will primarily engage with customers through phone calls, virtual meetings, and other digital communication platforms. Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Manage a portfolio of smaller accounts, focusing on maintaining and strengthening relationships. Reactivate lapsed accounts by identifying their needs and presenting tailored solutions. Regularly check in with existing accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for further collaboration. Sales Growth: Proactively upsell and cross-sell additional products or services to meet customer needs and maximize revenue. Identify opportunities to increase account spend through targeted sales strategies. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Sales Data Analysis and Planning: Analyse sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the account portfolio. Use insights from data to develop tailored sales plans and strategies for each customer segment. Monitor performance against plans and adjust tactics to achieve desired outcomes. Customer Engagement: Conduct sales interactions via phone calls, Teams, and other virtual platforms to engage with customers effectively. Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client requirements and offering solutions. Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product range and communicate the value proposition to clients. Pipeline Management: Maintain a clear and organised sales pipeline, tracking opportunities and ensuring timely follow-ups. Use CRM tools to record customer interactions, track progress, and generate reports for management. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the external sales team to ensure seamless account handovers or collaborations when needed. Partner with internal teams, including customer service, commercial and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies. Share insights with the team to contribute to overall business success. Qualifications: Proven experience in an internal sales or telesales role, preferably within the packaging or related industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport over calls and virtual meetings. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a focus on multitasking and prioritising effectively. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and formulate actionable strategies. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a drive to achieve results.
