Two patient and reliable female PAs are required to support a girl living in the HU9 area of Hull.
The appointed PAs will be a companion and facilitator, supporting the girl to take part in activities outside of the family home. This could include going to the park, a local play centre, or a trampoline park.
Applicants should have a genuine interest in working with disabled people, be honest and trustworthy, and have a confident nature with the ability to remain calm. In addition, applicants should be good at communicating and able to build good relationships with people, based on trust and respect.
You will be very aware that she has no health and safety awareness, particularly whilst crossing the road, and you must ensure her health and safety is of paramount importance at all times. She also has sensory issues and can be very stubborn; she likes to get to know people first as she is not good at engaging with people she does not know.
This role is only open to female PAs as personal care is required. Previous experience and being a car driver is preferred.
