This welcoming family is seeking a fun, friendly Nanny Housekeeper to become a part of their family.
The family has two children, a boy aged 9 years and a girl aged 6 years. They can offer up to 30 hours per week. The ideal would be after school care in term time and 3 full days in the school holidays. However, they can also offer 2 full days and 2 after school days during the term time to find the right person. The full days in the term time would include all child-related duties plus some light household tasks, e.g., family laundry, ironing, putting groceries away, and running any errands. They are looking for someone with a ‘see something needs doing and do it’ kind of approach. They do not require full house cleaning but someone to pitch in to ensure the home runs smoothly and is kept clean and tidy.
The children are both outdoorsy and fun-loving. The eldest is outgoing and confident; he likes to be busy or outdoors. The youngest is initially more reserved, independent, and enjoys reading, writing, and playing the piano. It would be great to find a Nanny who is able to support both their interests and can be creative and imaginative when organizing and providing activities in the school holidays. The parents both work a mixture of in-office and from home; they like to give the Nanny autonomy and love it for them to use their initiative.
It would also be great if the nanny can offer some occasional babysitting, and there could be some ad hoc overnights required, but this is not essential. They live on the outskirts of Cheltenham, with a lovely large garden which the children enjoy playing in, but there are parks close by too. There is also the option to live in, and your accommodation would be a separate one-bedroom flat, with its own kitchen, lounge, bedroom, and bathroom.
