If you are an experienced planner with knowledge of project delivery from outline design through to completion of construction using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software, then we can ensure your journey with us is filled with diverse responsibilities and exciting opportunities to work on major infrastructure projects.
You will have the opportunity to work as a treatment planner in ‘design and build', external delivery or internal delivery.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Lead Planner, you will join a growing team of planners helping to deliver a variety of water supply and wastewater treatment projects focusing on key deliverables.
You will collaborate with Project Managers and Designers, and support teams to review the progress of various projects. Using your expertise predominantly in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, you will develop and refine project programmes, ensuring everything is on track.
In addition, you will liaise with internal and external construction teams, ensuring that all project elements are aligned.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaboration with multiple teams involved in project delivery
* Developing, reviewing and progressing multiple project programmes
* Leading discussions on working to agreed programme durations
* Proactively assessing programme risk to delivery
* Integrating sub-contract, supplier and third-party programmes into the overall project plan
* Preparing various reports and lookaheads at a project and programme level.
Regular site visits are a key part of your role as a planner. You will meet with site teams to review progress and address any issues. These are crucial for understanding on-ground realities and ensuring that project timelines are realistic and achievable.
What you'll need
As an experienced and self-reliant Planner, you'll have a fluent understanding of project management and delivery.
Your experience with complex engineering projects and advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project combined with being a motivated team player with a proactive attitude will be essential to drive projects to successful completion.
Your critical thinking and communication skills will enable you to effectively manage and convey programme risks and issues to a diverse range of stakeholders.
It is essential that you have experience:
* Using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (advanced level)
* Assessing contractor programmes in line with NEC requirements
* Working on complex engineering projects
* Using Excel and Word (intermediate level).
Ideally, you will have knowledge of, or relevant transferable experience in:
* Water supply and wastewater treatment processes
* Civil, mechanical and electrical (M&E) construction and commissioning
* Design, third party and environmental project requirements
* Balancing the demands of working on a portfolio of projects.

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to attend meetings at various sites and offices around the region. Business expenses will be reimbursed.
