Job Description
Let’s talk numbers. When it comes to UK retail, it’s hard to find a bigger name. We sell thousands of items an hour and are expanding our e-commerce business by the second. For anyone in Tech, this is the place to learn, grow, and thrive.
The role
Technology drives what we do. As we’re going through a huge change as a business, we need a solid team committed to driving our systems forward.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Automation Test Analyst to join our Store Systems team. At the last count, NEXT had 500 stores, and we have the Store team to thank for all of the software and latest features that our customers and store colleagues have access to! A short while ago, we had a complete overhaul of the store software and hardware across all of our store estate, which gives us a fantastic platform to build upon.
You’ll work closely with the functional team, development teams, and key business users to keep everyone up to date and head off any issues that might be on the horizon.
In addition, you’ll also create and enhance our in-house technologies. We're looking for experience with the following:
* C# and Leapwork - an essential skill for this role!
* Web-based and mobile testing (Android)
* PowerShell scripting
About You
* Natural problem solver with a logical approach to testing software and implementing processes.
* Organised professional with the knowledge to plan for the future – providing key inputs that allow us to develop plans and schedules for tomorrow’s retail environment.
* Bold challenger with a passion for delivering smarter ways of working and for automating the everyday.
* Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members.
* Demonstrable prior experience in a Senior position.
In addition, we’re looking for you to be:
* Able to speak, read, and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members.
* Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast-paced environment within a multifunctional technical team.
You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office on a hybrid basis. A fast-paced, encouraging, and supportive environment in which everyone brings an energy and a commitment to delivering for our customers and their own careers. Bring your energy. Play to your strengths. Make things bigger and better than before. Let’s Take It On.
So if you’ve got experience in automation testing, strong technical and analysis skills, and solid business and systems knowledge, this is the place for you – and your career.
