Risk and Compliance is the Global Function that brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC. Compliance is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime (including anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption compliance).
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Name Screening Specialist Engineer.
In this role you will:
* The Name Screening Specialist Engineer will work with the Risk & Compliance, Fin Crime and Screening leadership teams, helping them define and deliver their technology vision and strategy. They will liaise with many geographically dispersed teams to coordinate solution design and ensure the Name Screening service remains stable and resilient for all internal customers and stakeholders.
* The Name Screening Specialist Engineer will be responsible for driving the deliveries relating to the Future State Architecture for Name Screening and provide technical product consultancy across major Financial Crime programmes.
* This role will be one of the principal enablers in ensuring the Financial Crime and Screening Business strategies are able to be realised through identifying, designing and supporting the delivery of the key technical capabilities for Name Screening.
* Additionally, the Name Screening Specialist Engineer will ensure the engineering governance practices are followed, including the safe delivery of quality change into production and reducing incidents and toil. This includes the identification of opportunities for automation and simplification.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Extensive technical knowledge and experience of deploying and developing Oracle Watchlist Screening (OWS) and Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) applications across large/global organisations.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of Name Screening from a technology, business and Regulatory perspective.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of supplementary Name Screening functions and components; Automated Alert Adjudication, List Management, Data Management and Case Management.
* Extensive technical background and experience of designing bespoke technical solutions, with a specific focus on Data Quality and Data Matching.
This role is based in Sheffield and offer hybrid working.
