We are looking to work with a qualified chef to assist us in providing daily nutritious meals for all our residents. You must be a team player who will inspire and motivate your team, where quality of care is at the heart of everything we do.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the residents.
2. Plan and prepare daily menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
3. Prepare meals that are appetising, visually appealing, and within budget.
4. A good understanding of nutritious cooking.
5. Monitor food stocks and order supplies as needed.
6. Maintain accurate records of food orders and inventory.
7. Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served in a safe and hygienic manner.
8. Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service, including proper food handling.
9. Keep the kitchen clean and organised.
10. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Skills and attributes:
1. Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
2. Ability to manage time effectively.
3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Food hygiene certificate level 2.
2. NVQ 2/3 in food preparation and catering.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50 per hour
