Our stunning care home, Wilmslow Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility situated in the popular town of Wilmslow, Cheshire, 11 miles south of Manchester city centre. The home is registered to provide care to 63 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, investing in the latest technology and offering daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We have not used agency staff for over 4 years, employing a permanent team to ensure continuity and trust. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of £12.75. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekends. To apply, you must have medication management and administration experience.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Promote the highest standards of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
2. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during your shift.
3. Act as a role model and demonstrate person-centred care.
4. Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of adults under your care or contact.
5. Manage the delivery of personalised care according to each resident’s care plan during your shift.
6. Support professional standards within the home alongside the Deputy and Home Manager.
7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
8. Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
9. Maintain accurate records as required by company policies and regulatory bodies.
10. Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure sufficient staffing.
11. Complete new admission files within the first week of arrival, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
12. Build relationships with external professionals.
13. Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Medication management and administration experience.
* Experience working with older people.
* NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement of this within the first 12 months.
* Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
* Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin care delivery.
* Good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Self-motivated and confident.
