To assist in the provision and delivery of a high-quality radiographic service within Northumbria HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust whilst adhering to all trust and departmental policies and procedures. Carrying out general admin and clerical duties and managing the reception area. There will be a requirement to book appointments ensuring patient's details are correct. Ensure all relevant data is recorded into the Trust PAS system capturing attendances performed outside of a clinic.
The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical teams on site and with the admin teams across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
1. To assist in the provision and delivery of a high-quality radiographic service within Northumbria Health Care Trust whilst adhering to all trust and departmental policies and procedures.
2. To act as the first contact for the department upon a patient's arrival, carrying out clerical and reception duties.
3. Ensuring patient details are correct, with some requirement to book appointments.
4. To participate in all aspects of the administration service within Radiology.
5. To act as a first point of contact for the department and co-ordinate patient appointments and enquiries using initiative to discern between queries ensuring minimum interruption to the service.
6. Alert management of urgent reports.
7. Use the Image Exchange Portal (IEP) for transfer of images both to and from ELHT.
8. To upload CDs with DICOM imaging onto PACS.
9. To ensure all required imaging for MDT meetings is made available to internal and external clinical teams in a timely manner.
10. To create user accounts on PACS / RIS assigning role-based level access.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Relevant Level 3 qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge and / or experience.
* Knowledge of database computer systems.
Experience
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook.
* Previous experience working in a busy office.
* Knowledge of radiology appointment system/or experience of using an electronic appointments system.
Other
* You may also need to travel between Trust premises as required for the performance of your duties. You may also be expected to work at any of the trust sites. The Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role.
