The Compliance IT team provide technology solutions to support the Financial Crime investigations function, who are responsible for the global capability to identify, investigate and manage financial crime risk and enable effective information sharing with government, grounded in advanced analytics and technology.
Within Compliance IT, the Case Management IT team deliver applications to support financial crime case management across the HSBC Group. We provide a single global view of all financial crime cases, customers, and transactions, increasing visibility and collaboration between investigations across the Group and between the various Financial Crime Compliance teams.
In this high profile role you will lead the delivery of strategic enterprise level solutions to pivot away from large vendor-led monolithic applications, to in-house greenfield solutions on a Cloud and API-first architecture. Ensuring adoption of Agile and DevOps processes and principles, and guiding technical delivery across several cross-functional teams.

In this role you will:
1. Provide technical direction to ensure application build work aligns with our future-state architecture and technology stack.
2. Lead the evolution of our technology products from an internally hosted monolithic application landscape, to a cloud-hosted, API-driven, micro-service, micro-front-end suite of applications.
3. Provide technical leadership throughout the technology delivery lifecycle, identifying and shaping technology solutions to meet customer needs and move us towards our future-state architecture.
4. Coach, manage and mentor technical resources across multiple development pods (teams), enhancing their technical capability.
5. Provide guidance and support adopting DevOps principles: CI/CD pipelines, automation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
1. Micro-service design (practice & patterns)
2. GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
3. React JS/Angular
4. SQL
5. CI/CD
6. Must have delivered big products and focused on UI.
7. Mentoring/coaching engineers displaying strong communication skills.
