About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Publishing & Content Assistant to join our dynamic Publications team within Tesco’s Customer Marketing division. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional content, as well as a keen interest in innovation and creative marketing. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to create world-class printed and digital editorial content that supports Tesco’s key marketing pillars and enhances the customer experience.
This role offers the chance to be part of an innovative and fast-paced team, where you’ll help shape how Tesco communicates with millions of customers. Combining strategic thinking with creativity, you’ll contribute to the development of engaging content that builds loyalty, drives engagement, and delivers real business impact.
You will be responsible for
• The planning of content to amplify and support the Tesco magazine and supporting publications (online and offline) - to include social media, and influencing and joining up our approach in channels such email, instore etc.
• Managing the production of content for digital channels: this could range from a FB canvas, how to video, teasers and actual mini project management of certain business areas like F&F, Clubcard, CSR etc.
• Leading on the day to day work to secure the seamless delivery of the printed and digital magazines, keeping contact with procurement, paper providers and print houses as well as managing the performance measurement for both printed and digital magazines.
• Generating and nurturing loyalty through creating and engaging with social media interactions through on-going community management and proactively seeking out social opportunities
• Engaging with customers in a simple, honest, energetic and human tone and surprising and delighting them with proactive, personalised gifts that strengthen their relationship with Tesco
• Working closely with the content creation agency as well as internal teams to create printed and digital editorial content.
• Building a strong relationship with our agency partners – managing the day-to-day relationship with our creative and media agencies to facilitate a high-performing, cross-agency team
• Developing strong relationships with platform owners (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google) and team members within the Content Team.

Key Responsibilities
• Print & Digital Publishing: Ensure seamless delivery of Tesco’s printed and digital magazines, liaising with procurement, paper providers, and print houses. Monitor performance metrics to optimise future content.
• Content Strategy & Planning : Plan and deliver content to support Tesco magazine and other publications across both print and digital channels. Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent messaging across social media, email, and in-store touchpoints.
• Social Media Engagement : Manage areas of Tesco’s social media community with an honest, human tone. Identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement and build loyalty through proactive, personalised interactions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with creative agencies, media partners, and platform owners (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google) to deliver high-quality, impactful content. Build strong relationships to drive innovation and performance.
• Creative Oversight : Provide a critical eye for creative content and copy to ensure everything meets Tesco’s high standards for quality and relevance.
You will need
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of content marketing and a creative mindset, combined with a customer-first approach and excellent project management skills.

• Content Expertise : Experience in creating and managing content across multiple channels, with a particular focus on social media.
• Data-Driven Approach : Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and translate insights into actionable ideas.
• Project Management Skills : A proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering to tight deadlines.
• Customer Behaviour Insight s : An understanding of customer behaviours in the retail sector and how they’ve evolved over time.
• Creative Judgement : A keen eye for design and copy, with the ability to review and refine content to ensure it aligns with brand standards.
• Relationship Management : Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal teams, agencies, and platform partners.

* Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary
