POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for directing and supervising the financial affairs of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the philosophy of Grace Inspired Living. Directly supervises the combined business office with responsibilities for all internal and external financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and maintenance of appropriate internal controls. Also directly supervises the development office with responsibilities for all fundraising.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for oversight of the total finance department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, internal accounting control, and monthly reporting.
2. Establish policies and procedures for finance department and financial functions within the organization.
3. Coordinate and prepare annual budget for presentation to Management, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors including competitive analysis and rate structure development.
4. Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements including balance sheets, statement of operations, cash flow, and patient census.
5. Responsible for oversight of the Development Department including fundraising and cultivation events, grants, capital campaigns, and donor tracking.
6. Responsible for various regulatory reporting including PA Department of Insurance, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Department of Public Welfare, Internal Revenue Service, PA Department of Revenue, and other agencies.
7. Coordinate and attend Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings to provide fiscal input and reports as desired by members.
8. Prepare financial projections or proformas for evaluation and various opportunities.
9. Manage, direct, and supervise the finance and development departments including hiring qualified applicants and providing proper orientation and training.
Position Requirements:
Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* 7 years accounting experience in a not-for-profit organization, preferably a Continuing Care Retirement Community, as CFO.
Preferred:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* 5 years’ accounting experience in Healthcare including experience in third-party reimbursement systems (Medicare & Medicaid).
* 3 years managerial experience.
Licensures:
* Certifications Certified Public Accountant.
