Job Title: Locum Therapy Assistant Banding : Band 4 Location : London Start Date : ASAP Duration : 3 months (likely extension) Working Pattern : Full-time & part-time accepted Rate : £13:00 - £17:00 per hour Job Description: We are seeking a Band 4 Locum Therapy Assistant to join our Hip Fracture Community Service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. In this role, you will support the rehabilitation of patients recovering from hip fractures in a community setting. What your responsibilities will be for this Podiatry role? As a Band 4 Locum Therapy Assistant you will assist qualified therapists in delivering rehabilitation programs to patients recovering from hip fractures. You will help patients with exercises and mobility activities, promoting independence and recovery. You will monitor and record patients' progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist. You will provide support during therapy sessions and encourage patients to engage in their rehabilitation. You will maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols. You will assist in preparing and organizing therapy materials and equipment for sessions. You will communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care. Qualifications and Experiences: Previous experience as a therapy assistant or in a related healthcare role is essential. Understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices, particularly related to hip fractures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and team members. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills to manage your time and tasks efficiently.
