About the Team
The Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) branch is a team of around 10 people, we produce a set of consolidated accounts for the whole of the public sector. This is a highly complex set of accounts and at the forefront of what is done internationally. Each publication is a significant project with sophisticated technical and logistical processes. The WGA is a world leading governance and accountability tool with strong support both within the Treasury and from other interested parties. These include; Parliament, the National Audit Office (NAO) and the Office of Budget Responsibility (OBR). The accounts were disclaimed by the NAO for 2022-23 due to missing and unaudited data from local government, and we are working on exciting plans for the future of WGA to ensure it continues to meet partner needs in this context.
