Job Description:
Job Duties:
1. Develop and implement individual education plans for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
2. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the academic and emotional wellbeing of students
3. Assess students' needs and provide appropriate interventions and support
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as needed
5. Ensure compliance with SEND regulations and policies
6. Provide training and support to staff on supporting students with SEMH needs
Desired Qualifications:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. SENDCo qualification
9. Experience working with students with SEMH needs
Experience:
10. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
11. Strong understanding of SEND regulations and best practises
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
14. Strong organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
15. Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
Working Conditions:
16. Able to travel between 2 sites, Romford + Basildon
17. Work primarily in a school setting
