The opportunity
EY Finance Operations is a fast growing, managed service team within EY providing bookkeeping, management accounts, corporate tax, VAT, and statutory accounting functions for a wide range of clients.
As an Accounts Assistant within our Finance Operations team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to learn and develop as part of a diverse team serving a portfolio of clients.
Your key responsibilities:
* Assist in managing daily bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
* Support in preparing basic accounting records and financial reports under the guidance of senior team members.
* Gain experience interacting with clients to understand their business processes better and provide valuable insights where necessary.
* Help in analysing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations with a focus on learning and development.
* Gain experience in working with accounting systems and learn new accounting technologies where applicable.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders within your capacity.
* Support senior team members in compliance activities and adhere to company policies and legal regulations.
* Contribute to team success by collaborating with colleagues and continuously seeking personal professional development.
Requirements:
* Basic accounting qualification (AAT, or actively working towards ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience of working within an Accounting environment.
* Interest in the professional services sector, preferably with practical experience within a professional services firm.
* Strong mathematical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to deliver work on a timely basis.
