Head of Compliance Monitoring, Global Compliance – London
Fitch Ratings Global Compliance Group is currently seeking a Head of Compliance Monitoring based out of our London office.
The Head of Compliance Monitoring is responsible for managing Fitch Ratings’ compliance monitoring program. Compliance monitoring is conducted globally across Fitch to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and credit rating agency regulations. The position will report to the Head of Compliance - Global Teams who is based in London.

We’ll Count on You To:
* Design the annual compliance testing plan to ensure comprehensive coverage of compliance requirements.
* Allocate and supervise compliance testing activities and manage the team’s performance and personal development.
* Oversee appropriate issue escalation and remediation.
* Ensure compliance testing reports are well-written, informative, and impactful.
* Maintain and enhance compliance testing procedures and templates.
* Develop compliance testing data, KRIs, KPIs and prepare monthly reporting for senior management and quarterly reporting for the board.
* Liaise with regulators and compose ongoing filings and written responses to ad hoc requests.
* Co-produce the annual compliance risk assessment.
* Participate in global compliance workplan projects.
* Promote understanding across Fitch of key compliance requirements.
What You Need to Have:
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Proven track record of leading compliance testing and monitoring activities in a regulated financial institution or credit rating agency.
* Previous experience managing a team and supporting employee development.
* Solid understanding of risk management frameworks, risks and controls, and the three lines of defence model.
* Strong investigative skills and attention to detail.
* A collaborative approach to solving problems and working with others.
* Self-motivated and adept at time management.
* Ability to exercise sound judgement, and escalate potential issues and propose solutions appropriately.
* Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
* Background in continuous monitoring and a history of embracing new technology.
* Experience with Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) software. Familiarity with MetricStream a plus.
* Knowledge of credit ratings and credit rating agency regulations.
