Job Details You will be expected to: oversee all leadership and management tasks within a house, including, provision of supervision, oversight of rota, attending professional meetings, overseeing care plan, chairing team meetings, financial responsibilities, health & safety management, medication audits and attendance management oversight. ensure young people are supported by a team who provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for young people in their care. ensure their team provide appropriate levels of supervision and emotional attunement to young people, making themselves available to young people at times of need. work with young people to support them to manage risk. see beyond presenting behaviours and to demonstrate compassion and empathy. maintain accurate records and documentation as required. work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet the children's needs. uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all children. uphold and implement the principals of the Promise Scotland. undertake quality assurance and meet regulatory responsibilities tasks which includes overseeing care plans, medication and budgets. undertake other duties as directed by the senior leadership team which may include overseeing another house. promote the physical tasks (for example cleaning, cooking and participating in various activities that promote a homely environment). uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate. The Person You will have: significant experience of working with young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. significant experience of working in a residential childcare environment. in depth understanding of the concepts and principles of attachment promoting & trauma informed care. significant experience of leading staff teams within a residential childcare environment. a full driving licence is ideally preferred, or a willingness to travel throughout Fife using public transport. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
