Job summary
To provide administrative support to Health Visiting Teams Across the Newport Borough
This will include administrative support to the wider service as and when required, including travel to other sites if necessary.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term/secondment until to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
To act as main point of contact for the team, including processing incoming mail, ensuring that all urgent correspondence is dealt with promptly. To carry out clerical and administrative support to Health Visitors at their bases and with Child Health Clinics/Baby Groups, ensuring the smooth running of the Health Visitors office and clinics. Receive telephone calls and deal with telephone enquiries, communicating and liaising with patients, relatives, members of the public, other departments and services in a sensitive and tactful manner. To ensure the efficient input of data onto the computer systems in relation to the recording of information, process change of address forms, update relevant records and ensure appropriate personnel.
